tunes

So last week I drove to the shore and back.  On the way there, I started Zao (really, you find the funniest cds when you're moving) and finished DCFC.  But on the way back, I only listened to Capitalist Youth.  Probably like two and a half times, (almost) straight through.
I like it.  And:  they were on NPR this week and everything!  I'm not really one to know if that's a huge deal or not, but I think it is.  Good job Kamper and co.
Font look familiar?  I'm a pretty famous/established/working artist.

The funniest part is wondering how serious Kamper is when he says "princess" and wondering how Kelly feels about it.

crossing

So, I made this shelf ("made" = part disassembly, part new holes and parts, and part reassembly) for my shoes.
It's kind of a little, no-big-deal project, but that's the kind of thing that's going to be happening at the other blog, if we ever get it going.  So, if you want to know what's going on at Lehigh, check there.

Back in it.  I was on a little vacation, and then we don't have any internet at our house, so: took a quick and welcome break from the internet, which later today I'll exchange for The Busiest Life of FT work/FT school.  Oh, did you want to do something fun?  Sorry, I can't.

Anyway.  Since last we wrote and read each other, I had a little thing for putting dental implants in
(They look like that I guess? Or, at least, that's how they'd look if my mouth was clear?)  Then beach birthday was good, duh.  Then came home and we did this big JAWS/bloody pool/every kind of seafood party.  And moved out.  New house is piles and piles of boxes, but we'll sort that out.

Here's a really good birthday present:  embroidered kitten pillowcases.  (Don't touch that iron kitten, it's hot!).

(Thanks, Mandy).

Today I start school, and I'm nervous and excited.  I'm going to learn so many important things.  And hang out with college kids.

lesson

Want a hint about Anthropologie?  I got your tip, right here.

So:  I saw this green tiger duvet cover.

I liked it, but I don't really like anything as much as $228.  Especially something I'm probably going to drool on or get cat hair all over or whatever.  Anyway:  it went on sale, but not the size I needed.  So you call the hotline, they find a store that has it, and that store just sends it to you.  No shipping charges, no store pick-up.  They give you the online sale price, too.
So:  I'm getting the duvet, but from an Anthro in Southlake Texas, for $29.95.  Which is about how much I care about blankets with tigers.
No s+h, and everyone was so nice and it was so easy!

Everything I write on this blog is about shopping lately - but I swear I have lots of other things going on.   Movies, a house, a party, fighting with UPenn dental, surgeries, trips, an upcoming birthday etc.

peacing out

I'm pretty sure this is a thing that is happening. I wouldn't say any of it is set in stone.

They're going to have crabs and clams (no thanks) and we can eat and drink and go swimming, and watch JAWS.  The next day, the pool empties into the street, and we're out.

lil'

Last night we moved some stuff with some strong boys, and then we thought we were five pizza hungry.

No one is that hungry, even if you're really hungry.
Pizza pizza.  (Seriously.  Little Caesar's).
