He is risen indeed

Aside from the eating and drinking and watching the Buffalo Sabres lose, I did two things to celebrate Easter.
First, I made a traditional butter lamb. 

I maybe got a little carried away, and he's less...shapely than the lambs of my youth.  But still:  butter lamb.

I also dyed MLB pink and purple. 

It was a learning experience - if you ever need to dye a white cat, hit me up and I can probably make some suggestions.

 The tree outside our house is pretty adorable, right?  It is so puffy.   If we wait a couple days, you can come over and I'll shake it on you.

While everyone cleaned up cupcake wrappers and Tecate, Amanda danced.  By herself.

The other night I made dinner and it was so pathetic that I felt like I should take a picture of it.
Here, the saddest dinner (quesnodilla?) that you ever saw or put in your mouth.

(Don't worry.  I had a lot of good foods this week too.)

summer list

I'm seeing (and hearing about) a lot of these lists.   Like, "this summer, I want to do these billion things that I always mean to do but then put off until it's too late".  That's awesome.   It's not for me per se, because I feel like I'm actually pretty good at summer and doing everything I meant to - but it's good to write things down and get other people  in on it if there's things you want to do.  So good job, list makers.

Last week, everyone from my work went to the Phil's game, but I had to stay behind because of dumb old school.
I took this opportunity to clean out my desk*.  Every item came out of the drawer and onto the floor, and only the good stuff went back in.  I found a bunch of little paintings I've made at work, including this sketch of Randerson.

There's more too, guys: all inaccurate, some funny.   I could use some more tiny painting inspiration if you've got anything.

*while watching the X-Files, and occasionally answering a phone call.  Because I am a MULTI-TASKER.
