independence, resolve

Here's a picture of the biggest flag I've ever seen.  You can't tell, because there's nothing to reference it by, so I was going to photoshop in a picture of a baby animal (for scale), but I haven't gotten that far yet.

Fourth of July.  Did boats, lake, grill, cards, bonfire stuff.
Came up with a one month trial life style adjustment: Read before bed.  Doing it for July (in lieu of watching bad tv on a laptop).  It's come to light that it's a pretty common phenomenon, and really, I just want to get out of the habit (and finish a book).  So, I'm trying it out, every night this month.  So far, so good.

Anybody else in?

Is that flag in Williamsport, PA? I used to go to their fireworks every year as a kid.

Amanda, it might have been. It was someplace between here (Philadelphia) and there (Honeoye, NY). It kind of all ran together. But that flag was HUGE.

Already in on that secret. If you're looking for a book to help you fall asleep, read the Iliad. Total snoozer.

Yeah, that's totally Williamsport. I recognize the mountains. They are so damn proud of how big that flag is.
