general m.o.

magnolia

F'real guys, here's what the ground looked like!  I just didn't want you to not get how pink things really were for a minute.

new pink tree

This is my second spot in a row with a pink tree outside.  It always seems like the most outrageous, non natural color to see on a plant -in the city- but it's so nice.

This one's a tulip tree magnolia, and it leaves these nice pink and white leaves all over the patio, like confetti.  Like confetti that turns brown.

blepharitis

Today, an unplanned medical leave (a case of gross eye, basically), so I found myself painting a tablecloth all afternoon.

I was following a basic plan from Oh Happy Day, but I found I REALLY didn't know where to stop.  It looked good with just like two colors, and then looked okay with three, and now it's ONE HUNDRED COLORS on accident. Stuff's hard, right?!  I guess someone needs to turn five or something.  (It would have looked more mature with triangles.)

daisy-up

Here's a boring post about cabinets.

I had this extra shelf paper around, and the insides of my cabinets are kind of oogey, so I (finally, after 7 months of living at the tiny house) papered it, and now it looks super cute.  I was always reading other girls (also boring) posts about how good it looks/feels to just line a drawer or a cabinet or whatever, and know what?  They're right.  It's in the details.

Thinking about doing this guy next, but not sure what should go in there.  My kitchen is getting a little wacky colored, even for me.
